SUBJECT: " Street Closure - Annual Holiday Parade
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Adopt Proposed Resolution No. closing the north and southbound turnpockets at the Main
Street and Pacific Coast Highway intersection for the annual Holiday Parade on Friday, December
6, 2002.
. BACKGROUND:
The annual holiday parade, sponsored by the Seal Beach Chamber and Business Association, will
take place on Friday, December 6, 2002. To eliminate traffic on Main Street to accommodate the
parade would require the closing of north and southbound turnpockets located on Pacific Coast
highway and Main Street from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. CALTRANS requires a resolution be
adopted by Council prior to the closure of those turnpockets on Pacific Coast Highway.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:
With approval of Consent Calendar, adopt Proposed Resolution No. authorizing the
closure of north and southbound tumpockets located at Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street
intersecti non Frida D caber 6, 2002 for the annual Holiday Parade.
