Dancs, P.E., Director of Public Works /City Engineer SUBJECT: BUDGET AMENDMENT - SENIOR BUS MOBILITY PROGRAM SUMMARY OF REQUEST: Establish a revenue and expenditure account for the Sr. Bus Program per Orange County Transportation Authority agreement by approving the attached budget amendment. • BACKGROUND: On June 24, 2002, Council awarded a contract for the Senior Bus Program and executed the agreement with Western Transit Systems and Orange Country Transportation Authority. OCTA's senior mobility program provides funds to local agencies to operate their own senior bus program. This allows local agencies to control their own program and cater it specific to the needs of their community. Funds in the amount of $46,947.88 have been received from OCTA and it is now appropriate to establish a revenue and expenditure account for the operation of this program. The revenue account will be "other agency revenue" and the expenditures will be reflected in the "non - departmental" account. FISCAL IMPACT No fiscal impact. Required matching funds have been previously identified in the Air Quality Management Fund. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that City Council approve the attached Proposed Resolution No. L306 establishing a revenue and expenditure account for Sr. Bus Mobility Program.
