SUBJECT: STATUS REPORT - SEAL BEACH BOULEVARD
ZONING STUDY, LIMITED COMMERCIAL
ZONING
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Instruct Staff to forward to the Planning Commission for information. Receive and File
Staff Report.
BACKGROUND:
In accordance with previous City Council direction of July 8, 2002, staff conducted a public
information workshop on July 31 at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chamber regarding the
proposed consideration of alternative zoning provisions for the "Limited- Commercial" and
"General Commercial" zoned areas on Seal Beach Boulevard between Pacific Coast
Highway and Electric Avenue. Notices of the public information workshop were mailed to
329 addresses, both property owners and occupants at all mailing addresses within a 300 -
foot radius of the areas under study. Five persons attended the workshop. Meeting notes
will be provided to the City Council for information when they have been completed by
staff.
