It was moved by Nescher and seconded by Gemmill to authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract at not to exceed $5000. for the construction of the projec.t. Th~ meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Present: Mayor Nescher Councilmen: Gemmill, Steddom, Gummere Absent: " " Anderson The Mayor announced that this was the time for a publiC hearing on vacation superseded State Highway, Road 07-0RA605. There being no objections e~ther written or oral, the Mayor declared the hearing I closed. Resolution No. 1412 (Vacation Superseded St~te Highway) was presented by the City Attorney. It was moved .by G~ere and seconded by Steddom to adopt Resolution No. 1412. AYES: ABSENT: Gemmill, Steddom, Gummere, Nescher Anderson Motion carried. Regular demands No. 8989 to 9119 inclusive, $50,884.71 and payroll demands No. 5981 to 6084 inclusive, $25,598.03, totaling $76,482.74 as approved by the Finance Committee were presented. It was moved by Gummere and seconded by Steddom that the demands be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasury for the same. Dept. AYES: ABSENT: Gemmill, Steddom, Gummere, Nescher Anderson Motion carried. Ordinance No. 677 (CounCilmanic District Additions) was presented Ord. by title by the City Attorney. It was moved by Steddom and seconded by Gemmill to waive the first reading of Ordinance No. 677, that it be deemed as having had its first reading and be passed to the second reading. Gemmill and seconded by Steddom to extend the com- pletion date to April 10, 1966 for Lampson Avenue as requested by Coxco Inc., and recommended by the City Engineer. AYES: ABSENT: Gemmill, Steddom, Gummere, Nescher Anderson Motion carried. Establishment of fee required for printing and mailing of qualifi- cations of candidates was discussed. It was moved by Gummere and seconded by Gemmill to table the matter until next meeting. AYES: ABSENT: Gemmill, Steddom, Gummere, Nescher Anderson Motion carried. 677 Street Dent. Elect ion It was move~ by Gemmill and seconded by aummere to table to the next Flood meeting the execution of a permit for maintena~ce of fencing with the Orange County Flood Control District. The City Manager reported of'previous negotiations with the P. E. Railway.
