Specifications for an employees health benefit program were presented
by the City Manager. A general discussion followed. It was moved by
Gummere and seconded by Nescher to instruct the City Manager and
Mr. Gemmill to ~nvestigate further and repor~ bpckWith a recommendation.

A design for a recognition marker proposed for Second and Central
Avenue was presented by the City Manager and discussed. It was moved
by Nescher and seconded by Gemmill to authorize the City Manager to
enter into a contract at not to exceed $5000. for the construction
of the projec.t.

The City Council of the qi~y of Seal Beach met in regular session
at 8:00 p.m. with Mayor Nescher presiding. Th~ meeting was called
to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present: Mayor Nescher
Councilmen: Gemmill, Steddom, Gummere

The Mayor announced that this was the time for a publiC hearing on
vacation superseded State Highway, Road 07-0RA605. There being no
objections e~ther written or oral, the Mayor declared the hearing

closed.
Resolution No. 1412 (Vacation Superseded St~te Highway) was presented
by the City Attorney. It was moved .by G~ere and seconded by Steddom
to adopt Resolution No. 1412.

minutes of January 10, 1966 as presented.

Regular demands No. 8989 to 9119 inclusive, $50,884.71 and payroll
demands No. 5981 to 6084 inclusive, $25,598.03, totaling $76,482.74
as approved by the Finance Committee were presented. It was moved
by Gummere and seconded by Steddom that the demands be allowed and
warrants drawn on the Treasury for the same.

a notice of intention to vacate certain roads superseded by realigned

Ordinance No. 677 (CounCilmanic District Additions) was presented Ord.
by title by the City Attorney. It was moved by Steddom and seconded
by Gemmill to waive the first reading of Ordinance No. 677, that it
be deemed as having had its first reading and be passed to the second
reading.

It was moved by. Gemmill and seconded by Steddom to extend the com-
pletion date to April 10, 1966 for Lampson Avenue as requested by
Coxco Inc., and recommended by the City Engineer.

Establishment of fee required for printing and mailing of qualifi-
cations of candidates was discussed. It was moved by Gummere and

session at 8:00 p.m. with Mayor Nescher presiding.' The meeting

~ letter and petition from a group of citizens requesting city
cooperation in providing additional off-street parking in the area
of Electric Avenue and Main Street was discussed. The City Manager
reported of'previous negotiations with the P. E. Railway. It was
moved by Steddom and seconded by Anderson to instruct the City Mana-
ger to negotiate again along the lines of previous terms.
