The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regular adjourned . session at 8:00 ~.M. with Mayor Nescher presiding. The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Present: Mayor Nescher Councilman: Anderson, Gemmill, Steddom Absent: " " Gummere I It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Gemmill to approve the minutes of March 7, 1966 as corrected as it pertains to the life insurance. AYES: ABSENT : Anderson, Gemmill, Steddam, Nescher Gummere Motion carried. Sids opened Monday, March 7, 1966 at 2:00 p.m. for the seal coating of streets north of Pacific Coast Highway were as follows; 1. Jack Brothers - Contractors 2. Gilsonite Processing Company 3. Sully Miller Contracting Co. , 4. Los Angeles Paving Company $ 12,610.00 13,000.00 13,572.00 16,250.00 Upon the recommendation of the Director. of Public Works, it was moved by Steddom and seconded by Anderson to award the bid to Jack Brothers, Contractors at-$12,610.00, that all other bids be rejected and the City Manager be authorized to execute the contract. I AYES : ABSENT : Anderson, Gemmill, Steddam, Nescher Gummere Motion carried. It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Nescher to approve the request of the Orange County Planning Commission submitting the County Road Department's proposed amendment to the Master Plan of arterial highways - Lampson Avenue in Seal Beach to confo~ with . tentative Tract 5699. AYES: ABSENT: Anderson, Gemmill, Steddom, Nescher Gummere Motion carried. Letter fram State Division,of Highways proposing a revision of a frontage road in the city (north of Garden Grove Freeway at the entrance to College Park West subdivision) was discussed. Resolution No. 1422 (Garden Grove Freeway - Revision) was presented by the City Manager. It was moved by Nescher and seconded by Anderson to adopt Resolution No. 1422. It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Steddom to. approve the plans for the remodeling of the store front of John's Food King Market at 148 Main Street. It was moved by Nescher and seconded by Gemmill that the city assebt its position on the matter to all interested Federal officials.
