Moss, the Center's developer and Mr. Taper, th~ property owner,
had ~s much or more to lose than anyone else' and he felt sure
they would not ask for or approve of any business that was
detrimental to other lessees, the Shopping Center, or adjacent
areas. After further discussion, it was moved by G~mmill and
seconded by Anderson that the City Council 'go on record as not
approving the variance as outlined in Planning Commission
Resolution Number 86 (Variance-Restaurant and Bar-Seal Beach
Center) .

The ~ayor proclaimed the week of October 9th through October 15th
as Fire Prevention Week.
The Treasurers report for the month of August, ~966, and annual

reports of Swimming Pool, Lifeguards and Recreation were received
and filed.
It was moved by Gemmill and seconded by Anderson to adjourn at
9:30 p.m.
