The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. I Present: Mayor Gummere Councilmen Anderson, Gemmill, Hamilton, Dreis Absent Councilmen - None It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Dreis to approve the minutes of December 19 and 30, 1966, as presented. AYES: NOES: Anderson, Gemmill, Hamilton, Dreis, Gummere None Motion carried. Payroll demands $31,768.82 and regular demands number 1403 to 1475 incl., $40,943.42, totaling $72,712.24 as approved by the Finance Committee were presented. It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Dreis that the demands be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasury fo.r the same. AYES: NOES: Anderson, Gemmill, Hamilton, Dreis, Gummere None Motion carried. I Under oral communications, Mrs. Beverly J. Casares attempted to reopen a public hearing in regard to rezoning Tracts 6345 and 6346 but was overruled by the City Attorney. Ord. 11 Ordinance Number 700 (Tracts No. 6345 and 6346, Rezoning, Precise Plan) was presented by title by the City Attorney. It was moved 700 by Dreis and seconded by Anderson to waive the first reading of Ordinance Number 700, that it be deemed as having had its first 114 Ord. 11700 Tracts 6.345 & 6346 reading and be passed to the second reading. After some discussion, Mr. Dreis and M~. Anderson withdrew their motion to-have the ordinance read in its entirety. Ordinance Number 700 (Tracts No. 6345 and 6346, Rezoning Precise Plan) was presented in full by the City Attorney. It was moved I by Dreis and seconded by Anderson that Ordinance Number 700, having had its first reading, be passed to the second reading. AYES: NOES: Anderson, Hamilton, Dreis, Gummere GeImllill Motion carried. It was mOl7ed by Anderson and seconded by Dreis to approve Tract Maps Number 6345 and 6346 and the precise plan as presented. Ordinance Number 702 (Housing - Substandard) was pres~nt~d by title by the City Manager. It was moved by Hamilton ~nd seconded by Anderson to waive the first reading of Ordinance Number 70?, that it be deemed as having had its first reading and be passed 1 to the second reading. Resolutions supporting College of Medicine at U.C.I. from the Cities of San Juan Capistrano, Fountain Valley and Brea were received and filed. Resolution from the City of Stanton protesting possible tax over- ride for Orange Coast College was discussed and referred to the City .Manager for more information. College Water Annex. 1166-1 Letter from Jack R. Schonborn, addressed to Congressman Richard T. Hanna, relating to City grant assistance for water system under PL 89-117 was received and filed. Letter from C. F. Rife re Rossmoor Business Center annexation was ~eferred to the Public Hearing scheduled for Annexatien Number 66-1. The report of the City Clerk re City Council meetings for 1966 was received and filed.
