The'meeting .was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Present: Mayor Gummere Councilmen Anderson, Gemmill, Hamilton, Dreis Councilmen - None Absent ; The Mayor announced that some agenda items might be curtailed or shor.tened because of an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Orange County League of ~ities ,called for 12:00 noon in Orange. It was moved by Dreis and seconded by Anderson ,to approve the: '. minutes of March 20, 1967, as presented. AYES: NOES: - Anderson, Gemmill, Hamilton, Dreis, Gummere None Motion carried. Bids opened March 13, 1967, at 2:00 p.m. for one Beach Sanitizer Beach were as follows: Sanitizer COOK & GIBSON FORD TRACTOR INC. $22,556.00 902.24 $23,458.24 -4.000.00 $19,458.24 Amount Sales Tax Total Less: Trade In Net Total It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Gemmill to accept the bid of Cook & Gibson at $19,458.24 as submitted, including 5% simple interest. It was moved by Gemmill and seconded by Hamilton that Mr. Anderson Nat'l. be authorized to represent the City at National Rivers and Harbors Rivers & Congress in Washington D.C. The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Regular demands No. 2080 to 2139 incl., $10,052.45~ and payroll demand No. 2140, $34,631.96, totaling $44,684.41 as approved by the Finance . . Committee were presented. It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Dreis that the demands be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasury for the same. Orange'County Chamber of Commerce resolution endorsing relocation UCI of Caltfornia College of Medicine to a site within Orange County waS-- received and filed. City of National City resolution endorsing legislative progr~ to Gas Tax amend th~ Mayo-Breed formula,on gasoline ~axes was received and filed. It was ~oved by Gemmill and seconded by Dreis that the City Manager Blind advise the Blind Industries that a fee must be charged for soliciting !ill! . in the city.
