Resolution from Orange County Chamber of Commerce, City of Stanton, City of Westminster and the City of Brea, supporting location o~ Naval Ordinance Test Station at Los Alamitos Naval Air Sthtion were received and filed. The Mayor suggested that the City Council, Planning Commission, I merchants and property owners get together to explore the possibility of improving the image of Main Street. The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Present: Mayor Gummere Councilmen Anderson, Gemmill, Hamilton, Dreis Councilmen - None Absent : I I I 177 It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Dreis to approve the minutes of June 27, 1967, as presented. Mavor Mr. Gummere nominated Stanley G. Anderson as Mayor. It was moved by Gemmill and seconded by Dreis that the nominations be closed and that the Clerk cast a unanimous ballot for Mr. Anderson. Outgoing Mayor Gummere stated that it had been a wonderful experience and that in his opinion the year 1966~67 had been very successful and thanked the Council, City Manager and all employees for their cooperation. Mayor Anderson stated that if he would get the same cooperation:as Mr. Gummere had had, 1967-68 would be equally successful. Mr. Hamilton nominated Leslie Dreis as Mayor Pro Tem.
