APPROVAL OF DEMANDS Regular demands #3495 through #3729 of $51,003.03 and payroll demands #3081 through #3339 of $69,698.99 as approved by the Finance Committee, were presented. PUBLIC HEARING-APPEAL OF VARIANCE V-4-68 The Mayor .turned,the meatin~ over to the 'City Attorney to conduct the II public hearing. The City Attorney dec~ared the public hearing opened. The City Clerk stated that.all notices had been sent as required by II law and that no communication, for or against the issue, had been received.' The City Attorney advised the Council to ~efer the variance back to the Planning Commission for specif.ic and complete findings on the four points' required on the application for variance. COMMUNICATION-AMER[CAN LEGION AUXILIARY The City Manager read request from the American Legion Auxiliary, Seal Beach Unit 300 to sell poppies May 24 and 25. Ron Miller; Suburbia, Inc. stated that the site in question was now in escrow and that construction was planned for the area. Discussion followed.
