BUILDING DEPARTMENT REPORT-AUGUST 1968 the Mayor commended the Building Department on their August, 1968, report, noting that the value of permits was $1,920,361.30 as against $121',914.82 for the, same month in 1967. ..- Value of permits for 8 months 1968 $10,338,090.35, for 1967, 8 months $6,753,274.11. It was the order of the Mayor to receive and file the report. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Anderson moved, second by Dreis, to approve the minutes of September 12, 1968, regular adjourned meeting, and September 16, 1968, regular meeting as presented. AYES: NOES: Gummere, Anderson, Dreis, Hamilton, Fuhrman None Motion carried. 310'" ORDINANCE NUMBER 767-Z0NING 701 ELECTRIC AVENUE The Mayor stated that the public hearing had been held on September 16, 1968, that the Planning Commission had adopted Resoaution Number 254 relating to site plans. COMMUNICATION-PACIFIC AIR TRANSPORT It was the order of the Mayor, with concurrence of Council, to receive and file the communication from Pacific Air Transport, Inc. relating to proposed flights from Long Beach Airport to Bay Area. COMMUNICATION-SUPERvmSOR BAKER In response to communication from Supervisor Baker regarding National Highway,the Mayor proclaimed the week of September 23, 1968, to be "National Highway Week." COMMUNICATION-NEWPORT BEACH It was the order of the Mayor, with concurrence 9~ Council, to receive and file communication from the City of Newport Beach I relating to Airport Land Use Commission. - SEAL BEACH JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL BAND REVIEW Hamilton moved, second by Fuhrman, to approve the Citys' sponsor- ship of Second Annual ~eal Beach Junior HighwSchool Band Review to be held November 16, 1968, that the route requested be blockea off for th~s purpose. CLAIM-MARTHA MUELLER Gummere moved, second by Hamilton, that the claim for personal injuries by Roland and Miriam Mueller on behalf of Martha Mueller a minor, be referred to hhe City Attorney and our insurance carriers. The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. PUBLIC HEARING-UV-4-68 The Mayor stated this was the time and place for public hearing. The City Attorney conducted the public hearing concerning the appeal of Sheldon Golison and Harold Harris from decision of Planning Commission on UV-4-68 for property at 10th Street and Pacific Coast II Highway. The City Clerk stated that all notices had been posted as required by law, that one commuaication had been received directed to the City Council opposing the variance. The City Attorney read the letter signed by Edna H. Reed, Emma Wolf, 343 10th Street"Seal Beach; Anne Cook, 339 10th Street, Seal Beach; and Evelyn Seeley, 341 lOch Street, Seal Beac~. No other communications were received. The
