The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. AYES: Gummere, Anderson, Dreis, Hamilton, Fuhrman NOES: None Motion Carried. Hamilton moved, second by Fuhrman to amend the Agenda to include a proposed resolution. AYES: Gtimmere, Anderson, Dreis, Hamilton, Fahrman NOES: None Motion Carried. RESOLUTION NUMBER l785 - HONORING CAPTAIN SIMPSON Resolution Number 1785 was presented by title, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 'SEAL BEACH, CALIFORNIA HONORING AND COMMENDING EUGENE H. SIMPSON, CAPTAIN, U. S. NAVY." Anderson moved, second by Fuhrman, to adopt Resolution Number l785. AYES: Gummere, Anderson, Dreis, Hamilton, Fuhrman NOES: None Motion Carried. PUBLIC HEARING - 1969/70 Budget The Mayor stated that this was the time and place for a public hearing to be held concerning the 1969/70 budget. The City Manager conducted the public hearing. The City Cilie~~estated that all notices had been posted as reqQired by law and that no communications had been received for or against the matter. There was no communication from the audience. The Council made the following amendments to the proposed budget: $9,059 for additional fireman to free a fire marshall's time for inspection duties, 482 ... $4,000 for additional lighting in specifLed areas, and $2,000 for additional officer time in the beach area. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS The Mayor stated that this was the time for oral communications, there being none, oral communications were closed.
