Regular demands No. 9231 to 9325 inclusive, $34,520.47 and payroll demands No. 6194 to 6299 inclusive, $26,533.59, tDtaling $61,054.06 as approved by the Finance Committee were presented. Th8 Mayor proclaimed the month of March 1966 as Red Cross Month. The Mayor proclaimed Mar~h 3rd as Woman's Club Federation Diamond Jubilee Day and the first week in March as Federation Diamond Jubilee Week. Mr. Van Epps requested that the Oouncil act in favor of the present 1.3 ~ - operation of Goldfinger's A-GO-GO. The City Manager read a copy of Gold' a letter fram the PTA addressed to Mr. Smith, objecting to the signs FingE GO City Manager spoke in opposition to the signs and Steddom and the Go "Bare Top" operation as it now exists. . Chief of Police Lee Case read a letter from the State commending the Police Department for their participation in the training program and presented the Mayor a check for $2232.76 as the Polic Dept. city's pro-rata share. It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Qummere to authorize the City Attorney to attend the City Attorney's Spring Conference at Palm Springs with the necessary expense allowance. City Atty.
