the power to release the State Highway back to the City.

The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regular
session at 8:00 p.m. with Mayor Gemmill presiding. The meeting was
called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Rev. E. John Gillis. First Brethren Church gave the
invocation.

parking was received and filed.

requested a one day license to conduct an auction. April 21. 1963
in the American Legion Community Center.
A discussion of fees
followed. It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Leonard to waive
the regular fee as provided by the license ordinance and to set a fee
of $50.00 per day.

The City Attorney was instructed to prepare an amendment

and that it be adopted.

Swarts." President. was acknowledged. After some discussion it was
moved by Gemmill and seconded by Anderson that the City Manager and
City Attorney draw up a surfing license program for study by the
City Council.
