The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in reguLar
session at 8:00 p.m.. with Mayor Gemmill presiding., The meeting was
called to o~der with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present:

Absent:
A petition signed by ten church groups commending the City
Council and urging support of a constitutional amendment to permit
voluntary recitation of non-demoninat10nal prayers in public schools

This being the time and place for a public hearing on the
Bolsa Chica exclusion. there being no protests. it was moved by
Anderson and'seconded by Nescher that the hearing be closed.

The City Manager was instruc~ed.to discuss the Christmas
lighting program for Main Street with the Chamber of Commerce.

the date of January 7. 1964 for elec~ion on the proposed charter.
