The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regular
adjourned session at 8:00 p.m. with Mayor Pro-tam Leonard presiding.
The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present: Mayor Pro-tem Leonard
Councilmen: Anderson. Griswold
Absent: "" Nescher. Gemmill
Upon the recommendation of the City Manager. it was moved
by Anderso~ and seconded by Griswold to approve Westminster-Bolsa
widening project-approach lanes with the County of Orange. at an
estimated cost of $1800.00

Mrs. Stuart Hinson. 202 Ocean Avenue requested that the

beach in the area be cleaned and leveled. Written protests from
Curtis Fuller. 114 Ocean. Mrs. Dana Williams. 112 Ocean and Mrs.
Dwight McFadyen. llO Ocean were presented, objecting to the re-
moval of the dunes.
A 'general discussion followed concerning the high tide
line. It was moved by Nescher and seconded by Griswold that further
action be deferred to the next meeting to permit the City Attorney
I~
to advise the Council in what direction to proceed and Mrs. Dana
William's attorney will contact the City Manager to determine action
of ownership of the lands involved.

The City Manager reported that the State Legislature
ratified the City Charter. the Assembly February 3. 1964 and the
Senate February 4, 1964.
It was moved by Griswold an~ seconded by Nescher that the
City. Manager request the pier lessees to appear at the February 17th
meeting to present a progress report on the pier reconstruction
project.
