April 28. 1964) was presented by title and summary by the City Manager. It was moved by Nescher.and seconded by Anderson to waive the re~ding of Ordinance No. 640. that it be deemed as having had its first and final reading and be passed for adoption. It was moved by Leonard and seconded by Anderson to receive and file the City Officers reports for the month of January. 1964. AYES: NOES: Nescher. Anderson. The City Manager acknowledged receipt of an annual report of the Director of Public Works for 1963. 1 The temporary transfer of funds from the Parks and Boule- vards and Water Fund to the Parking District Fund. was outlined by the City Manager. Further action deferred for study. A~ter considerable discussion. it was moved by Anderson and seconded by Gemmill to set the public hearing date for amending Land Use Ordinance No. 628 as March 16. 1964. Gemmill None Motion carried. 1 U~on the recommendation of the City Manager the Mayor appointed Councilmen Nescher and Leonard to assist the City Manager in making a trash se~vice study for the entire city.. A letter from Congressman Richard Hanna regarding the stabalation of the beach was not received with favor by the City Council. The City Manager was instructed to contact Mr. Hanna and Col. The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Present: Mayor Gemmill Councilmen: Nescher. Anderson. Leonar~, Griswold " " None Absent: Upon the recommendation of the City Engineer it was moved by Griswold and seconded by Nescher to award the bid for Water Trans- mission Facilities. Unit No. 111. to Ledford Brothers at $181.338.50 as the low responsible bidder. to waive all informalities and to Bid Wat .Jill! reject all other bids. A:YES: NOES: Nescher. Anderson, Leonard. Griswold. Gemmill None Motion carried. The City Attorney reported his not being able to get to- gether with other attorneys in the matter of high tide lines and Bch "-- leveling of beach dunes. Referred to next meeting. The City Manager reported that the Bicycle Safety Ordinance was being enforced. It was moved by Gemmill and seconded by Anderson that the request of the City Employees Association be denied to grant added holidays when the holiday falls on Saturday. Cit~ Emp}
