California March 9, 1964 The meeting of the Seal Beach City Council was called to order in the Council Chambers by the acting city clerk at 8:00 p.m. and adjourned to the City auditorium located on the second floor in the Seal Beach City Hall. at 8:02 p.m. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 8:02 p.m. Present: Leonard. Gemmill. Nescher. Anderson Absent: Griswold I och. It was moved by Councilman Leonard and seconded by Mayor Gemmill. that the City maintain the sand dune area accepting the assistance of Mr. Fuller'S two laborers during the summer months. The maintanance problem to be reviewed at the end of the summer. II AYES: . NOES: ABSENT: Leonard, Gemm.1l1. Nescher, Anderson None Griswold Motion carried. lch. It was moved by Nescher. seconded by Anderson, to amend the above motion and instruct the city mamager to clean the beach accord- ing to his judgment and opinion. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Nescher, Anderson. Gemmill Leonard Griswold Motion carried. Surf. It was moved by Nescher and seconded by Leonard. that the surfing be limited between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Second Street westerly, and that free parking be allowed in the First Street lot to surfers during these hours. . AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Leonard. Nescher Gemmill. Anderson G:r;'iswold II Motion lost. ~. It was moved by Leonard and seconded by Gemmill to allow surfing between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.. Second street. westerly. and between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the 8th Street area during the winter months and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. in the 8th street area during the summer months. It was moved by Anderson. seconded by Nescher, that during summer months surfing be allowed west of Second Street. between the hours of. 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and during the winter months, surfing be allowed in the are~westerly of Second Street between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.. weekdays, and on winter weekends surfing be allowed from 7:00 a.m. to ll:a.m. only. California March l6. 1964 The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regular session at 8:00 p.m. with Mayor Gemmill presiding. The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Present: Mayor Gemmill Councilmen: Nescher. Anderson. Leonard. Griswold Absent: " " Griswold . This being the time and place for a public hearing for an amendment to the Land Use Ordinance to require 900 square feet of Land land for each living unit etc.. in R-3 zone. the City Manager outlined Use the amendment in detail. There being no protests either written or oral. it WaS moved by Anderson and seconded by Leonard that the hearing be closed. Ord. AYES: ABSENT: Nescher. Anderson. Leonard.
