The City Manager outlined certain changes in the
pier lease agreement. After SOMe discussion it was moved by
Gemmill and seconded by Gummere that the Mayor be instructed
to execute the amended agreement with the Seal Beach Sport--
fishing Incorporated. upon payment of $20,000.

.The City Manager reported that certain ahanges had
been made in the proposal by the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce
to provide a shoppers' bus service. After considerable discuss-
ion. the matter was referred back to the City Manager to present
a more detailed report at the next meeting.
It was moved by Gemmill and seconded by Gummere to
adjourn at 4:40 p~m.

The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in
regular session.at 8:00 p.m. with ,Mayor Anderson presiding.
The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.

It was moved by Gemmill and seconded by Nescher to
approve the minutes of November 2nd and 7th 1964 as presented.

Payroll demands No. 3130 to 3220 inclusive, and regular
demands No. 5813 to 5890 inClusive. totaling $43.457.55 as approved
by the ~inance Committee were presented. It was moved by Nescher
and seconded by Gummere that the demands be allowed and warrant a
drawn on the Treasury for the same.

authorize the retention of Engineering Science Inc.. to conduct
a study investigating various alternate methods for treatment
and disposal of sewage wastes. at not to exceed $2500 as out-
lined in their letter of July 1, 1964.

Commission were discussed. The City.Manager to arrange a
joint meeting with the Planning Commission.

The City Manager reported in detail the expense
involved in the proposed Shoppers' Bus Service as proposed
by the Chamber of Commerce. Considerable discussion followed.
It was moved by Gemmill and seconded by Nescher that the
Council motion of November 2nd be superceded by adding that
the City Attorney and City Manager prepare a contract with
the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce which will provide for the
City to pay to the Chamber of Commerce for providing the bus
service. the difference between the contract price of the
charter and the sum of $3600 and fares collected, subject to
a maximum to the City of $2400 for a six month period and

the maximum contract to be for six months. The fare to be
charged to be 25~ per round trip.
It was moved by Nescher and seconded by Anderson to
amend the motion to provide tor a fare of lO~ each way.
