The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regular
session at 8:00 p.m. ,with Mayor Anderson presiding. The meeting
was called to order with1he Pledge of Allegiance.

It was moved by Nescher and seconded by Griswold to approve
the minutes of November l6th and 25th and. December 1. 1964 as
corrected.

Payroll demands No. 3'221. to '3317.' i.nclusive and regular
demands No. 5891 to 5960 inclusive, totaling $42.249.70 as approved
by the Finance Committee were presented. It was Moved by Nescher
and seconded by Anderson that the demands be. allowed and warrants
drawn on the Treasury for the same.

Mr. Pete Buzzard. representing. the Orange County Chapter Life
of the Amerioan Red Cross addressed the Council and presented a
Guards
certificate of merit to Captain Andy Seymour and the Seal BeaGh
Life Guard Serv;ce.
Mrs. Murry.inquired about the joint Meeting of the City Council
and the Planning Commission to discuss set-backs. meeting date to
be announced. probably December 16. 1964.

Mr. Nescher suggested the names of James Rahl and O. H.
"Kit" Carson to the 50th Anniversary Committee. 'Mr. Gemmill
suggesped the names of Michael Murphy and Gerald Peasley.
It was moved by Griswold and seconded by Nescher that
the City Council approve the list of nominees for the 50th
Anniversary Committee as named in the minutes. and direct the
City Manager to send a 1etter under the Mayors' s~gnature of
their appointment.
