The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regular

adjourned session at 8:00 p.m. with Mayor Pro tem Griswold presiding.
The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present: Mayor Pro tem Griswold

Absent: Mator Anderson
It was moved by Gemmill and seconded by Gummere that the
minutes of March 15, 1965 be approved as corrected, page 338,.
insert Gemmill in place of Gummere.

This being,the time and place for a public hearing on
the granting of a franchise to Standard Gas Company, there being
no protests either written or oral, the Mayor Pro tem declared
the hearing cloeed.
Ordinance No. 658 (Water Deposit) was presented in full
by,the City Manager. It was moved by Nescher and. seconded by
Gummere that Ordinance No. 658, having had its seoond and final
reading, be passed for adoption.

Ordinance No. 661 (Standard Gas Company Franchise) was
presented by title by the City Manager. It was moved by Gemmill
and seconded by Nescher to waive the first reading of Ordinance No.
661, that it be deemed as having had its first reading and be passed
to the second reading.

Acceptance of easements for road and public utility
purposes from Woodbine Corporation and the Fred H. Bixby Company
to the City were referred back to the City Manager for clarification.
It was moved by Gummere and seconded by Gemmill that the
claims of Humble Oil and Refining Company for $13,265.1l and
$10.66 be denied.
