The City Council of the City ,of Seal Beach met in regular
session at 8:00 p.m. with MaJor Anderson presiding. The meeting
was called ,to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present: Mayor Anderson

. It ,was moved by Griswold and seconded by Gemmill to
approve the minutes of April 19, 1965 as presented.

Loyola
Plaza
The _Mayor'announced that this was the time and place for
a public hearing regarding ~he vacation of Loyola Plaza and a por-
tion of a service road. Ther.e being no protests either written
or oral, the Mayor declared the hearing closed.
Hesolution No. 1378 (Vacation ~ Loyola Plaza, etc) Was
. presented by the City Attorney. It was moved by Gummere and
seconded by Griswold to adopt. Resolution No. 1378.

the demands be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasury for the

The Mayor proclaimed May 23 to May 29~ 1965 as "R~alty
Week".
The Mayor proclaimed May 8, 1965 as "Fire Service Day"
and invited all citizens ~o visit their fire stations on that day.
The Mayor proclaimed May 28 and 29, 1965 as "Poppy Days"
in the City.
~ letter from Jim Bentson regarding the blocking of
alleys by delivery trucks was discussed and received and riled.
Cmdr~ Turner, V.F.W. thanked the City officials for
their fine cooperation during the past year.

Transporation Company, busses se~ving the City were not properly
marked for Seal Beach. Refe:red to the ~ity Manager.
Ordinance No. 662 (Skate Boards- Urgency) was presented
in full by the City Attorney. It was moved by Gummere and seconded
by Griswold to adopt Ordinance No. 662.

Mr. Steddom was declared elected.
Mr. Griswold suggested a fUrther study be made of the
hazardous conditions at the intersection of Bay and Westminster
Boulevards.
