Payroll demands No. 4496 to ~592 inclusive, $29,804.01 and regular demands No. 7866 to ,7937 Inclusive, $26,634.37, total- ing $56,438.38 aa approved by the Finanoe Committee were presented. -It was moved by Nescher and seconded by Gemmill that the demands be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasury for the same. The Mayor proclaimed the week beginning 'July 1, 1965 as Miss Golden Jubilee Week. Ordinance No. 665 (Retirement-Revised) was presented in full by the City Manager. It was moved by Griswold and seconded by Nescher that Ordinance No. 665, having had its second reading be I paseed for adoption. Mr. Nescher arrived at 6:50 p.m. The Mayor called a five minute reoess. The meeting reconvened at 8:10 p.m. Mr. ~erry Delaney of l7th Street inquired about certain items in the City Manager's and Fire Department budget. The City Manager introduced Mr. Lee Case, newly appointed Chief of Police, effective July 12, 1905. Mrs. Case was also intro- I duced. .' The Polioe Department was discussed at length.
