The Meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. fresent: Mayor Nescher Councilmen: Anderson, Gemmill, SteddoM, Gummere It was moved by Gummere and seconded by Anderson to approve the minutes of August 30, 1965 as presented. AYES: NOES: , Anderson, Gemmill, Steddam, Gummere, Nescher None Motion carried. Regular demands No. 8248 to 8392 inclusive, $48.836.65 and C\) payroll demande No. 5038 to 5154 inclusive, $25,601.43, totaling ~ ~ $74,438.08 as approved by the Finance Committee were presented. It gs was moved by Anderson and seconded by Gemmill that the demands be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasury for the same. Ordinance No. 669 (Entertainment Cafe) was presented by the City Attorney. It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Gummere to waive the first reading of Ordinance No. 664, that it be deemed as having had its first reading and be passed to the, second reading. Public Utilities Commission Investiga~ion, Case No. 8209, . of Electric and Communication Public Utilities Extension Rules and Aesthetics and Economics of Facilities was discussed and the City , Manager was instructed to communicate with the commission stateing our views on the matter. A policy position regarding the unification of the Seal Beach School District was discussed at length with members of the Council, the City Manager, Bill Jones, Henry Lichenstein and Jim . Jackson taking part. It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Gummere that the City Council support a "No Vote" on the matter. AYES: NOES: !nderson, Gemmill, Steddom. Gummere, Nescher None Motion carried. It was moved by Gummere and seconded by Steddom to author- ize the Mayor to execute an agreement between the City and Golden Rain FOundation for the use of sewer lines owned by the Foundation.
