The meet- ing was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance., Present: Mayor Calvo Councilmen: Flanagan, Ross. Spencer I Absent: It II Tancre The minutes of the regular meeting of October l5, 1957 were read and approved on the Mayor's motion. Reports of the POlice, builaing, Lioense, Water and Tax Departments for the month of October"1957 were presented. Demands numbering 6557 to bee3 inclusive, totaling $l5,l5l.18 as approved by the Finance Committee were presented. Mayor' Calvo and the City Clerk gave a report of the Sub-Committee Assembly, Interim Committee Hearing held in New- port Beach on November 4, 1957. The Clerk read a report of the first oil royalties received from Signal Oil and Gas Company for the month of Sept- ember, 1957. Mayor Calvo asked about the status or the appeal in the Hellman-Naval Ammunition Annexation case. The City Attorney explained that the City's briefs had been filed and that it was now up to Hellman1s to file. -. Letter from Butler-Harbour requesting a refund on build- ing permits for eleven lots in Tract 2590 on whioh they do not intend to build, was discussed. It was moved by Ross and seconded by Spenoer that the Cit~ Attorney prepare a resolution allowing the refund of $374.00. Bch. Eros. Oil Annex. Sub D.iv. Letter from Butler-Harbour in Tract 2590 and Mark Taper Inc. in Tracts 259l and le17 requesting releases on certain improvements was discussed. The COullc,il bel"ieving the r-equests Sub Div. 86 Sub ~ to b~ satisfactory, instructed the city Attorney and City Engi- neer to prepare resolutions releasing oertain improveMents, after meeting with the prinoipals. Request of Butler-Harbour to ammend the Subdivision agreement in Tract 2$90, requiring water meters to be installed on all lots. The City ~ngineer and City Attorney to meet with Butler-Harbour to work out details. Mr. George Duff repr~senting Moore Realty Company, 205 Main Street, requesting an amendment to the License Ordinm oe, to ohange the annual fee for real estate salesmen from $25.00 . . to $5.00 per year. After considerable disoussion it was moved by Ross and seconded by Spencer to instruot the City Attorney to prepare an ammendment as requested. After discussing the request of Worth Keene, Postmaster, to move the bus stop from the northside of ~lectric Avenue to the southside on the east tside of Main Street, it was moved by . Spencer and seconded by Ross to grant the request and that the City Attorney prepare an ordinance for fifteen minute parking in certain areas adjaoent to the Post Office. Letter from Mrs. Bonnie Abata suggesting that the Satur- day night Teen Age Dances be held in the Civio Auditorium was referred to the Youth Center Committee. I Notice of Intention to circulate a petition for the incorporation of the proposed City of Rossmoor, was received and filed. Letters of appreciation from Mrs. Uenry E. Russill and Charlotte and Katherine Shuman for the recent Newsletter, was received and filed. 87 Request of Glen O. Buckland for license to operate a private Police Patrol Service in the City was approved. Copy of a letter sent by the City of Newport Beach .to the state Park Commission to meet in Newport Beach was received and filed. Lic~ Bch.
