The City Counoil of the City of Seal Beach met in
regular session at 7:30 PM with Mayor Calvo presiding. The
meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mayor Calvo announced that the first order of business
would be a public hearing as advertised in.reference to the
19l~ ImproveMent Act (Seventh Street). There being no object-
ions either oral or written, the City Attorney presented Heso-
lution No. 974. It ~as Moved by Flanagan and seconded by Ross
to adopt Resolution No. 9~4.

1957 were read and-approved on the Mayor1s motion.

file the City Officers reports.

that the employees favore~ Plan ~2 if adopted by the City Council,
but if put to a vote of the people they favored Plan #1. After

of Plan #2 to present to the employees for approval.

Upon the recommendation of the City Auditor, it was
moved by Spenoer and seoonded by Flanagan to authorize the
transfer.of speoial inactive account funds from the General
City
Fund to a Special Depp~its Trust FUnd, to more properly identify
these funds in the financial statements.

Request of Robert E. Sharkey, Long Beach, to oon-

After SOMe discussion the problem was referred to Chief
Howard and Roy Thomas to work out.

Mayor for reply.
Mr. Ross displayed a sketch of a proposed highway
sign for Main and Coast Highway. After discussing. the plan,
it was moved by Spencer and seconded by Ross that the City
Engineer get plans and specifications for the purpose of
advertising for bids for the sign.
