The meeting was oalled to order with the ~ledge of Allegianoe. . ; Present: Mayor Calvo Counoilmenl Flanagan, Ross, Spencer, Tancre I' Absent: " " None The minutes of the regular meeting of February 4th and the regular adjourned meeting of February ll, 1958 were read and approved on the Mayor's motion. Heports of the C~ty Clerk and city Treasurer for the " month of January 1958 were presented. It was moved by Tancre I... ~ and seconded by Spencer to reoeive and file the City Officers o<t ::r:: reports. AYES: NOES: Flanagan, Ross, Spencer, Tancre, Calvo None Motion carried. Payroll demands No. 152 to 199 inclusive and regu- . . . lar demands No. 7084 ~o 7099 inolusive, totaling $14,594.19 I as approved by th~ Finance Committee were presented. It was moved by Flanagan and seconded by Ross that the demands be allowed anq warrants drawn on the Treasury for the same. .AYES: NOES: Flanagan, Ross, Spencer, Tancre, Calvo None Motion carried. It was moved by Spencer and seconded by ~ancre to recind and repeal Resolution No. 982. .Reso. 982 AYES I NOES: Flanagan, Ross, Spenoer, Tancre, Calvo None Motion carried. I Resolution No. 982 (Amending Sec. 2 of ,Resolution No. 981, and replacing the Resolution reoinded and repe~led) was presented by the City Attorney. Mr. Harbour of Butler-Harbour Construction Company addressed the Council in regard to his request for approval and acceptance of certain improvements now cOMpleted in Tract 2590. After some discussion it was moved by Flanagan and seconded by Spencer to approve and accept the impr'ovements. AYES: NOES: Flanagan, Ross, Spencer, Tancre, Calvo None Motion carried. Excerpts from the minutes of the 0 range c.OWlty Bound- ary Conwission regarding proposed annexation to the cities of Westminister and Huntineton Beaoh were received and filed. Application of the Metropolitan Coach Lines for authority to adjust rates as ~resented to the Public Utilities Commission was received and filed. Mayor Calvo reported meeting with U.S. Army Engineers, and stated that they reported onl:y act of Congress could change proposed location of groin at pier. 7. Division of Highways - San Diego Freeway route will olose,Bolsa Chioa Road. 8. City Sign at Main and Coast Highway now being painted, inspection February 20th. . 9. Auditorium. Lighting plans now being studied. Engineer to survey kitchen in regard to installation of vent I fan and new water heater. J 10. Weed abateMent - to include new 'subdivision and all remaining Hellman property. 11. Chapter 1912 - 1957 Legislature - Purohasing model ordinances to be studied. o r-. o -< ~ ::c l2. street Department - patching being done. 13. Street tree planting program - locations laid out - work to begin. 14. Truok, heavy duty - Used later model available at $2500.00 - old truck $1400.00 to repair. More investigations needed.
