in regular session at 7:30 P. M. with Mayor Ross presiding.
The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of
Allegiance.

and Tax Departments for the month of July, 1958 were pre-
sented. It wae moved by Jones and seconded by Tancre to
receive and file the City Officers reports.

regular demands number 7607 to 7671 inclusive were presented.
An additional'demand from S. Mark Taper, the City's share
of construction of Balsa Avenue drainage ditch as previously
agreeQ, was discussed. The Finance Committee and the Council
~ as a whole determined the demand in' the amount of $6,172.91

to allow the demand for $300.00 and to cancel the contract
to which Mr. Curtis agveed, effective August 1, 1958.
The demand of the Chamber of CO.umel'ce for monthly
publici ty purposes was discussed with Mr. Robert Polis,

seconded by Tancre to suspend, until furthur notice, the
$100.00' per month payment to the Chamber of Commerce.
