C Y Clerk Seal Beaoh, California November 18, 1958 . The City Counci~ of the City of Seal Beach met in regu- lar session at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Ross presiding. The meeting was oalled to order with the Pledge of Allegianoe. Present: Mayor Ross Counoilmen:, Flanagan, Jones, Leonard, Tancre Absent: " " None I Mayo~Ross announoed that the first order of business Drainage would be to open bids, as advertised for a porti.on of the "North East storm Drainage Projeot". The following bids were opened; 1. Gardner & MoCall 2. Edwin L. Barkley $ 14,360.00 12,690.00 The bids were referred to the City Engineer for analysis. The minutes of the regular meeting of November 5. 1958 were read and approved on the Mayor1s motion. Reports of the water and Tax Departments and the City Clerk and City Treasurer for the month of October, 1958 were presented. It was moved by Jones and seconded by Tancre to reoeive and file the City Officers reports. I AYES: NOES: Flanagan, Jones, Leonard, Tanore, Ross None Motion carried. Mr. Caldwell reported that the bids were in order and Drainage that the low. bid of Edwin L. Barkley should be accepted. It was moved by Leonard and seconded by Tancre to accept the bid of Edwin L. Barkley at $12,690.00 and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the agreement, pending report of the Orange County Flood Control District and the -r~'C f.~t." It was moved by Flanagan and seconded by Jones that the demands be allowe~and warrants drawn on the TreasUry for the same. Resolution No. 1011 (Designating Fifth street as a street of Major Importance) was presented by the City Attorney. It was moved by Leonard and seconded by Jones to adopt Reso- lution No. 1011. It was moved by Leonard and seconded by Tancre that Ordinance No. 535 be deemed as having had its, second and final reading and be passed for adoption. . I AYES : NOES.
