To meet ~ith the Youth center Commitee and council February 24,
19.59 .
Mr. Caldwell announced that it was now time to prepare
a weed abatement program.
Disposal of incinerators after March 1st was discussed.
Mr. Caldwell stated that he would oonfer with Mr. J. A.
Wooley in regard to a future water supply.

Mr. Buck reported legal progress on the Fifth Street
Extension and the extension of the City Yard property.
It was moved by Leonard and seconded by Tancre to

regular session at 7:30 P M with Mayor Ross presiding. The
meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.

were read and approved on the Mayor1s motion.
Reports of the Police, Building, License, Water and
Tax Departments for the month of February 1959 were presented.
It was moved by Leonard and seoonded by Jones to receive and
file the City Officers reports.

The process of eliminating weeds was discussed.
It was moved by Leonard and seconded by Jones that
Robert Buck, city Attorney is hereby authorized and directed
by the City Council of the city of Seal Beach to take such
steps as he deems necessary and appropriate to prevent the
annexation of the United states Naval Ammunition and Net
Depot by the city of Westminister. The Ammunition Depot is
located adjacent to the City of Seal Beach and a portion is
within the corporate limits of the City.
The City Attorney is authorized to speak and act in
behalf of the City Counci~ and the City, at his sole discreation.

the status of Rolla Hand, temporary Building Inspector was read.
The Council will notify the Commission upon completion of Mr.

~o erect three advertising structures on the southside of Coast
Highway was presented. It was moved by Leonard and seconded by
Jones to grant the request.

next to ~he Post Office was referred to the City Engineer.

Request of the American Legion to limit fireworks,
per'lllits to local Veterans and Civic organizations was received
and filed. Ordinance No. 493, covers the question.
Invitation to attend the United Veterans' Council meet-
II ing March 16th was received and filed.
AnnounceMent of meeting to discuss County Regional Park
Plan at Orange County Harbor office, March 9th at 9.30 ~ M was
received and filed.

the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute an agreement

subject to the approval of the City ~ttorney.
