Mr. W. L. Robertson requested information in regard
to his property at 5 Coast Highway as it concerns fire, police
and sanitary facilities<, for a proposed project. He qisplayed
a tentative sketch of the Department of Water and Power outfall
as related to his property. Toe matter was.discussed and
referred to the City Engineer.
Mr. Riddell addressed the council seeking more
informa~ion regarding the Youth center and future activities.
The matter was discussed by members of the CounciL and audience.
Mayor Ross again announced that he would contact Mrs. Avery to
see what oould be arranged.

lar demands No. tl406 to e443 inclusive, totaling $34,924.29 as
approved by the Finance Committee were presented. It was moved
by Flanagan and seconded by Jones that the demands be allowed
and warrants drawn on the treasury for the. same.

Zoning changes as recommended by the Planning Comm-

ission as a part of the review ,of a city-wide re~val~ation of
land use preparatory to the adoption of the new zoning code
to replaoe Ordinanoe NO. 40b, was discussed at length. Further
action was deferred for study.
After hearing a proposed recreation program presented
by Mrs. Valerie Davis, a general discussion with the Council and
members' of the audience taking part was held. A peti tion bear-
ing over 600 s1gnatures requesting a similar typa of recreation
program as in the past be conducted. At the suggestion of
Mayor Ross it was moved by Tancre and seconded by Leonard that
councilmen Flanagan, Jones, Leonard and Tanc~e be appointed
an advisory committee to work out suitable plans, with power
to act on limited expenditures.

Request of informal budget session set for Tuesday,
June 23rd at 8:00 P.M.
Mr. Caldwell reported that a baffle had been erected
around the boiler at the Pacific Bridge Company installation
on the west beach to attempt to eliminate the noise.
Mr. Caldwell reported the progress to date on the
northwest storm drain project.
