Mr. Riddell addressed the council seeking more informa~ion regarding the Youth center and future activities. The matter was discussed by members of the CounciL and audience. Further action was deferred for study. After hearing a proposed recreation program presented by Mrs. Valerie Davis, a general discussion with the Council and members' of the audience taking part was held. A peti tion bear- ing over 600 s1gnatures requesting a similar typa of recreation program as in the past be conducted. At the suggestion of Mayor Ross it was moved by Tancre and seconded by Leonard that councilmen Flanagan, Jones, Leonard and Tanc~e be appointed an advisory committee to work out suitable plans, with power to act on limited expenditures. ~. youth Center AYES: NOES. Invitation to attend "Marina Shores" civic and press preview was acknowledged. Announcement of the June meeting of the Associated Chambers of Commerce meeting was received and filed. Announcement of the June meeting of the Orange County Le~gue of Cities was received and filed. City Engineers Agenda Mr. Caldwell reported that the Beach Parking Lot ,I meters were being installed on a sixt7 day trial basis. The request of Pacific Bridge Company for free park- uN' ing for its employees Ja< denied. Request of informal budget session set for Tuesday, June 23rd at 8:00 P.M. Mr. Caldwell reported that a baffle had been erected around the boiler at the Pacific Bridge Company installation on the west beach to attempt to eliminate the noise.
