The City Council of the City of Seal Beaoh met in
regular session at 7:30 P.M. with Mayo~ Ross presiding. The
meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegianoe.

The minutes of the regular meeting of November 3, 1959 II
were read and approved on the Mayor's motion.
Reports of the City G~~~:',' and City Treasurer for the
month of Ootober, 1959 were presented. It was moved by Tancre
and seoonded by Jones that the Ci~y-Uftioers reports be reoeived
and filed.

Payroll demands No. 2481 to 2531 inclusive and regular
demands No. 8842 to 8889 inclusive, totaling $67,254.17 as
approved by the Finance Committee, with the exoeption of demand

No. 8889 were presented. This demand for the Pacifio Bridge Co.
was discussed at length. The final bill for $40,711.65 less
$2,000.00 to guarantee repair of beach groin was explained by
Mr. Frank Niohols and the City Engineer. It was moved by Tancre

and seconded by Flanagan that Pacifio Bridge Company demand No.
8889 for $38,711.65 be paid on condition that repairs be made to

the beach groin without additional cost to the City.

Letter from the Webster Corporation requesting an
extension of time to ereot a masonry wall on Coast Highway and
Bay Blvd. in Tracts 1817 and 2591 was read and disoussed. It
was moved by Tancre and seconded by Jones that a ninety day
extension be granted from December 1, 1959 or until March 1,

the appointment of Ila DeVore, P9.1icewoman, effective Nov. 1, 1959.
