The City Council of the City of Seal Beaoh met in regu-
lar session at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Ross presiding. The meeting
was oalled to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present: Mayor Ross
Councilmen: Flanagan, Jones, Leonard, Tanore
Absent: II II None
The minutes, of the regular meeting of Maroh 1st and the
Speoial meeting of March 11, 1960 were read and approved on the

Mayor's motion.
Reports of the City Clerk and City TreaBurer for the
month of February 1960 were presen~ed. It was moved by Leonard
and seconded.by ~ones to reoeive and file the City Offioers reports.

Motion carried.
Payroll demands No. 2894 to 294Z inclusive, and regular
demands No. 9169 to 9218 inolusive for a total of $20,693.65 as
approved by the Finance Committee were presented. It was moved
by Jones and seconded by Flanagan that the demands be allowed and
warrants drawn on the Treasury for the same.

Ordinanoe No. 557 (Regulating Trampoline Centers+Emergenoy)
was presented in full by the City Clerk. After oonsiderable dis-
cussion it was moved by Leonard and seconded by Jones to adopt
Ordinanoe No. 557.

Request of the Baptist Churoh for the use of the west
beaoh parking lot for an Orange County Baptist Brotherhood "Steak
Fry" May 23, 1960 was read. It was moved by Jones and seoonded by
Flanagan to grant the request.

Mr. Caldwell introduoed Mr. Thomas Russell, Arohitect,
who presented an artist rendition of the proposed Fire Station.
He also answered questions relative to the oonstruction of the
Fire
Dept.
building.
Letter from the Seal Beach Woman's Club requesting that
the Red Geranium be deolared the official flower of the City was
read and disoussed. It was moved by Tanore and seconded by Flanagan
Club

Mr. Caldwell reported oonstruction progress on the Fifth
Street Extension projeot.
Mr. Caldwell requested a one step pay raise for Allen
Harbour, Engineering Aide. After some discussion aotion was
deferred for further study.
Mr. Caldwell presented a letter of resignation as Director

Mr. Leonard reminded the Counoil that it was time to
make arrangements for "Seal Beaoh Night" with the Los Angeles
Dodgers.
