The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in
regular session at 7:30 P. M. with Mayor Shufelt presiding.
The meeting was called to order with the salute to the Flag.
Rev. Ivan F. Higgins, Baptist Church, gave the
invocation.

The minutes of the regular meeting of February 2nd.
1954 were read and approved on the Mayor's motion.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Announcements by the City of Fullerton and the
Orange County League of Gities of their next regular meeting,
February 25th. 1954, Fullerton City Hall, was received and
filed.
Announcement of Invocation assignments for minister$
of Seal Beach churches for the regular meetings of the City
Council was made by the Clerk.
Report of the City Clerk for the month of January
was presented. It was moved by Bowen and seconded by Lawhead
that the City Clerk'g report be received and filed.

Motion carried.
Demands numbering 1207 to 1329 inclusive, totaling
$9,949.53 as approved by the Finance Committee were presented.
It was moved by Leonard and seconded by Bowen that the demands
be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasury for the same.

Resolution No. 831 (Cancelling taxes on Lot 17,
Block C, Tract No.1). It was moved by Bowen and seconded
by Leonard that Resolution No. 831 be adopted.

It was moved by Leonard and seconded by Bowen that
all monies in the Park and Boulevard Fund be transferred to
the General Fund with the exception of any amount specifically
obligated.

Upon the recommendation of the Mayor it was moved Logan
b~ Leonard and seconded by Bowen that Harry Logan be appointed

Co-Chairman of the Seal Beach Civil Defense Council.
