The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met
in regular adjourned session at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor
Shufelt presiding. The meeting was called to order with
the salute to the Flag.
Rev. Donald E. Curry, Assembly of God Church gave
the invocation.

Resolution 832 (Calling General Municipal Election
of April 13, 1954.) was presented by the City Attorney. It was
moved by Leonard and seconded by Bowen that Resolution 832
be adopted.

Motion carried.
It was moved by Bowen and seconded by Lawhead that
the Ci~y Attorney be instructed to draw deeds for each parcel
sold at the Public Auction of February 19, 1954, and to
order policies of title for each lParcel sold from the Title
Insurance and Trust Co., Sant~ Ana, California.

The City Clerk read a letter from the Seal Beach
Chamber of Co~merce stating they had withheld the continuence
of their publicity campaign and would submit a final account-
ing.
It was moved by Leonard and seconded by Bowen that
the City Clerk be instructed to order a complete boundary map
from the County Surveyor.

Motion carried.
Dana Williams, Special Legal Counsel in the Hellman
matter, reported that to date, he could get very little in-
formation as to the program of development of the property.
After considerable discussion it was moved by Leonard and
seconded by Webster that Mr. Williams and Mr. Buck be instructed
to institute a suit for $250,000 damages against the Hellman
Estate and declaratory relief action against Lakewood Park Co..

and an injunction against the Hellman Estate to stop oil
drilling operations on the excluded are!l1 and a uthorize the
Mayor to sign said complaint. .

The minutes of the regular meeting of February 16th
and the regular adjourned meeting of February 23rd were read
and approved on the Mayor's motion.
The Mayor announced that this was'the meeting to
allow protests' to the weed abatement resolution. No protests
