The' meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. Present: Mayor Clark Councilmen: Calvo, Flanagan, Leonard, Lawhead Absent: " I " None Announcement of the Orange County League of Cities at Santa Ana, January 27, 1955 was received and filed. Letter of thanks from Cub Scout Pack 116, Marjorie Tozer, Coordinator, for use of the Auditorium and Council Cham- , bers for their Ice Cream Social was received and filed. Letter from Mrs. Lester Skinner, 1637 Ocean, requesting permission to care for County Welfare children in their home was received and filed for more study. Letter from COMMittee of Mayors for MeMbership was received and filed. The Clerk was instructed to get more infor- mation. Letter from the United Veterans Council, stating that as a Committee from the four veteran groups they could not Make recommendations for the Citizens Advisory Group. The City Clerk read his certificate of sufficiency of a petition for the recall of Councilman Paul F. Calvo. I , Resolution No. 865 (Calling Special Municipal Recall Election for March 4. 1955) was presented by the City Attorney. It was moved by Lawhead and seconded by Flanagan to adopt Reso. No. 865. AYES: NOES: Calvo, Flanagan, Leonard, Lawhead, Clark Nooe Motion carried. I Mayor Clark stated that the Council had agreed upon the date of Friday, March 4, 1955, to give everyone a chance to get out all the publicity desired in the hope that a large vote would turn out. Upon the recommendation of the City Engineer, it was moved by Calvo and seconded by Leonard to increase the contract 119 with the Dixie Tank COMpany for needed repairs at the water tower at not to exceed $4,750. AYES: NOES: Calvo, Flanagan, Leonard, Lawhead, Clark None Motion carried. It was Moved by Leonard and seconded by Calvo to I adjourn.
