The City Co~ncil of the City of Seal Beach met in
regular adjourned session at 7:30 p.m. with Mayor Clark
presiding. The meeting was called to order with t he Pledge
of Allegiance.

Mayor Clark announced that the first order of business
would be the opening of sealed bids as advertised for the antici-
pation warlrants.
Bank of BelMont Shore $80,000 at 2%
Bank of America $80,000 at 2.i%
Belmont Shore Branch
The"Council adjourned for five minutes to study and
discuss t~e~bids.
kfter reconvening'City Attorney Buck questioned
Floyd Regan, representing the Bank of B~lmont Shore relative
to interest on unused portion of the amofint borrowed. Mr
Regan stated that only interest would be oharged against the

amount used.
It was moved by Leonard a nd seconded by Flana<;an to
accept the bid of the Dank of Belmont Shore and to authorize
the City At~orney to notify the bank.

'rhe City Enginee: announced that the bids received for
the Seventh Street Improvement Project were about 43% higher than
the original estimate. It was moyed by Leonard and seconded by
Flanagan that the City Clerk be instructed to advise all property
owners' inv':llved with a requ~st for reply in writing before the
August 2, 1955 meeting.
