The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in
regular adjourned session at 7:30 p.m. with Mayor Pro-Tem
Calvo presiding. The Meeting was called to order wlth~the
Pledge of Allegiance.

Letter from N. L. Basich ~or a temporary permit to
haul sang over a portio~ of the City beach in removing sand
from the San GGbriel ~iver. After considerable discussion
i~ was moved by Flana~an and seconded by Lawhead to grant the
request subject to a bond of $5000.00 and to route over First
Street, Bolsa Avenue, Coast Highway to Bay Boulevard and north.

ABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF SEAL BEACH, FIXING AND DETER-
MINING THE RATE OF TAXES FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES, AND TO PAY
THE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS AND INTEREST OF THE, CITY OF SEAL BEACH

waive the second reading of Ordinance No. 478.

Insurance In the matter of distribution of commissions
of the Ltability Insurance, it was moved by Leonard and seconded

the property damage on the Liability Policy be increased to

the history of the project and the situation 'to date.
Mr. Lawhead inquired about JaMes Snells' position
with the City upon his return after his illness. The City Eng-
ineer explained his case in detail and stated that upon his
return to the job he would do his work as in the past, except
for heavy duty work.
