The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in
regular session at 7:30 ~.m. with Mayor Calvo presiding. The
meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The minutes of the regular meeting of May 15, 1956
were read and approved on the Mayor's motion.
Demands numbering 3793 to 3896 inclusive, totaling
.14,77~.0) ms approved by the Finance Committee were presented.
It was move~by Spencer and seconded by Tancre that the demands
be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasury for the same.

Reports of the Building, Police, License, Water and Tax
Departments for the month of May" 1956 were presented. It was
moved by Tancra and seconded by Ross to receive and file the City

Upon the recommendation of the City Attorney and City
Engineer it was decided to withhold action relative to the School
Street Easement in the subdivision, pending rurther development
by the subdivider~.
Mr. Ross asked the conditions of the Faithf~l Perform-
ance Bond of the subdivider, ~hich was explained by the City
Attorney. Mr. Marron also reported that a flat charge of $6.00

Rnnounoement of Notice of Intention to Circulate a

Petition seeking the incorporation of a new city, to be known
as Los Alamitos, was receivedand filed.
Mr. Ross stated that Long Beach was setting up a
Citizens; Committee to advise the Long Beach City Manager relative
to Marina problema and suggested we attempt to get one member on
the committee and recommended the name of D. M. Callis. The Clerk
was instructed to request this consideration of the City of Long
Beach.
It was moved by Flanagan and seconded by Tancre to
adjourn.
