The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in
regular adjourned session at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Calvo presid-
ing. The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegi-
ance.

Mayor Calvo announced that this was the time and place
as advertised to hold a public hearing relat~ve to the Bolsa-
Chica Annexation.

The City Clerk stated that he had received no protests
either written or oral and that none had been receivBd either
before" or during the meeting on this date.
It was moved by Flanagan and seconded by Tancre that
from evidence and reports received, the City Council finds and
determines that on August 20, 1956, and ever since such date,

the territory described in Hesolution No. 935 was and is uninhabited
territory, contiguous to the City of Seal Beach, and is not form-
ing a part of any municipal corporat~on.

Enforcement of the dog ordinance was 'referred to the
Chief of Police.
Councilmen Tancre and Spencer. Youth Center Committee
submitted a list of names for the Recreation Commission. It

be appointed to the Recreation Commission; Worth Keene, Virginia
Haley, Marguerite Heinsohn. Roy Cook, Kenneth Nash,. with Maurice
Richmond as an ex-officio member.

Upon recommendation of Tancre, approval was granted
the Methodist Church to hang a street banner, advertising their
annual )3azaar.
A certification of apprepiation to the City Council
from the ~ions Club for cooperation in tbe 11th Annual Fish Fry
was received with grateful appreciation.
Upon request of the Orange County Mosquito Abatement
District, Charles Trygg was appointed to fill out the unexpired
term o(Hal Marron and a new term of two years ending December

and approved on the Mayor'S motion.
Reports of the City Clerk and City Treasurer ror the
month of September 1956 were presented. It was moved by Flana-
gan and seconded by Ross to receive and file the City Officers
reports.
