Meeting was called to order wlth salute to the Flag. Present: Mayor Shufelt Councilmen, Bowers, Leonard, Webster Councilman Granger I Absent: The minutes of the regular meetlng of Nov. 20th were read and approved on Mayor's motlon. COMMUNICATIONS: Letters of Communlty Methodist Church and St. AnnIs Church Church Taxes asking Council for cancellation of 1950-1951 City taxes on thelr . p~rsonage proper~les. Considerable dlscussion on the matter ensued. On the Mayor'S motlon, lt was moved that request be granted for current year and Clerk dlrected to wrlte the pastors that further cancellation of taxes on church parsonage prOpettles would not be approved. Seconded by Bowers. Received and flIed and Clerk to wrlte Mr. Harris of the Highway Department for a conference with the Council on the matter. Reports for the month of November of 'Police Chief, Build- ing, Water and Tax Departments were read. It was moved by Bowers, seoond by Leonard that reports be received and filed. Maxwell Comp1alnt Demandq numbering 849 to 947 lnc1usive, amounting to $10,276.11 as approved by the Flnance Committee were presented. It was moved by Bowers second by. Webst~r that bl11s be allowed and warrate.drawn on the Treasury for same. AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Bowers, Leonard, Webster, Shufelt None , Granger Motlon carr led I Carbon copy of letter and reports forwarded by Currle Engineering Company to Water Po11utlon Board and State Board of Health. Recelved and flled. David Currie of Currie Engineering Company was present and presented pre1imlnary plans for new sewage disposal plant and out11ned necessary procedure for financing same. Resolution No. 722 was presented, authorizing Currie Engineering Oompany to make app11cation for Chaptere ~7 and 20 State Funds allocated to the City. It was moved by Webster second by Bowers that Resolution No. 722 be adopted. Absent: COMWNICATIONS: Letter of Pastor of St. Ann's Church thanklng Councll for cancellation of 1950-51 taxes on parsonage property. Re- cf!lved and filed. , Letter of Harold C. Frerks, Attorney, maklng protest for Nlcholas D. Dovalls on condltion of alley back of the 101 Ranch Cafe where suppliers make deliveries of supplies. Letter received and filed and referred to City Attorney to make reply. Letter of Orange County Mosquito Abatement District asklng Council to appoint a Seal Beach representative to the Board for the year 1951. Held over until next meeting. Reports for the month of November of City Treasury and City Clerk were presented. It was moved by Bowere second by Granger that the reading ln full of said reports be waived and that the eame be received and flIed. Motion carrled. '..
