The Oity Counoil of the City of Seal Beaoh met in regular
session at 7:30 P. M. and was called to order by Mayor Shufelt with
salute to the Flag.

The minutes of regular meeting of January 2 and adjourned meeting
of.January 10, were read and approved on Mayors motion.
There~ being no communications the first order of business was
the reading of the City Treasurers report for the Month of December.
It was moved by Leonard, second by Bowers that report be recd.and Filed
Demands numbering 10g9 to 1157 inolusive amounting to tV,OiJ.24
as approved by the Finanoe Committee were presented. It was moved
by Bowers, second bf Leonard that bills be allowed and warrants
drawn on the Treasury for same.

It was moved by Webster, seoond by Bowers that Engineer Woolley
contaot County Engineer Patterson regarding an appointment with the
Beach Orange County Board of Supervisors, asking their support in taking
E~~ the matter up with our Congressman regarding measures and steps that
can be taken to prevent t~,.. ~at a re-accurance of our recent beach
erosion problem.

Oouncil after considerable discussion of duties to be performed
by outside departments, agreed that Roy Thomas be in oharge of water

It was moved by Leonard, second by Webster that Councilman
Bowers be granted leave of absence, to leave the State, until
the time of first meeting in February, date of the same the 5th.
