M. with Mayor Shufelt presiding. Meeting was called to order _th salute .to the Flag. Present: Mayor Shufelt Oounoilmen, Webster, Leonard, Bowers None I Absent: The minutes of regular meeting of Maroh 19 and regular adjourned meeting of Maroh 20th were read and approved , on Mayor I s mot ion. OOMMUNICATIONS: Letter of American Legion Auxiliary stating that they were sending one girl to Girls' State, Sacramento, and asking Oouncil for financial assistance on the program. It was moved by Webster, second by Leonard that request be de- nied and the Auxiliary notified of the Council's position in the IIILtter. AYES: VOES: ABSENT: Webster, Leonard, Bowers, Shufelt None None I Motion carried. Letter of the Senior Woman's Olub announoing the date of their annual "Cancer Fund Drive" dinner and asking the Oouncil for financial aesistance. It was moved by Leonard, second by Webster that request be denied and Clerk directed to write the Club of the Oouncil's position in the matter. Letter of Mr. & Mrs. Andy Ingram regarding their applioation for permit to construct an additional apartment on their property at 13th Street & Ooean Ave. Referred to City Attorney.
