M. with Mayor Shufelt presiding. Meeting was called to order with salute to the Flag. Mayor Shufelt Oouncilmen, Webster, Leonard, Bowen, Bowers Oouncilmen, None The minutes of regular meeting of May 7 were read and approved on Mayor's motion. ' Present: Absent: Letter of Huntington Beach Union High School P.T.A. thanking Oouncil for use of Auditorium, received and filed. Report of the City Treasurer and Clerk for the month of April and Bldg. Dept I'S report for the first 15 days of May were read. It was moved by Bowers, second by Webster that reports be received and filed. Motion carried. it was moved by Leonard, second by Bowers that payment on Demand No. 176J be held in abeyance pending opinbn of City Attorney. Demands numbering 1705 to 1764 inclusive and ex- ~luding No. 176J, amo~ting to .5,~$0.42 as. approved by the Finance Committee wer~ pres~nted. Attorney Williams rendered and read his legal opinion on the operation of the Airport Club which was received and filed. Ordinance No. 407 was presented and read in full; Providing for licensing of certain games not prohibited by Section - 3)0 of the Penal Code. It was moved by Webster, second by Bowen that Ordinance No. 407 be adopted as an emergency measure and be in full force and affect as of today. On re-convening it was moved by Leonard, second by Webster that meeting be adjourned until 9:45 P. Y., Monday, May 21, 1951.
