Maintenance Foreman called Councils' attention to
the poor condition of the bridge crossing the San Gabriel
River at Bolsa Avenue. City Attorney directed to contact Mr.
Vickers, City Manager of Long Beach, stating City was willing
to cooperate with Long Beach on expense of necessary repairs.
Meeting was adjourned on Mayor's motion.

Letter of the Chamber of Commerce extending congrat-
ulations and expressing thanks to the Council for the new Main
Street lighting system. Received and filed.
Letter of the Chamber of Commerce requesting a meeting
with the City Council to work out plans for this year's Christmas
lighting program. Mayor announced that Wednesday, the 8th at
.7:00 P. M. would be the most convenient time, which time was
agreed to by the Chamber members present.
Letter of Milton M. Uhl suggesting removal of beach
stands after the close of the season.

sented by Harold Franks. It was moved by Leonard, second by
Webster that said budget estimate be accepted and the one upon
whicha a 1951~52 Tax Rate be based and upon which the current

Board of the County of Orange was explained by Mayor Shufelt. It

Cities Defense Planning Board in their regular meeting held the

Garage, Huntington Beach. Purchase Price to be $2542.52, sales

less trade-in allowance of $2000.00 for present 1950 Chrysler,
four door Sedan.
