The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in
regular session at 7:30 P. M. and was called to order by
Mayor Shufelt wi. th salute to the Flag.
Present:

The minutes of regular meeting of September 17 were
r.ead and approved on Mayor1s motion.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Letter of Mrs. Sarah Tilchnasl complaining of de-
fective sidewalk in front of 119 Main Street. Received and filed.
Letter of J. C. Felts asking for removal of four trees
whose roots were damaging sidewalk in front of his property at
502 Central Avenue. It was moved by Bowers, second by Bowen that
those trees only that were damaging the sidewalk be removed.

dition of electric wiring in building at 129 12th Street. It was
moved by Webster, second by Bowen that the Police Chief be directed

Letter of the Corps. of Engineers, U. S. Army, stating
that their study and report on our beach erosion problem had not
yet been completed. Received and filed.
Letter of Karl P. Teget informing the Council of a
promised date of delivery to hi'll by the Dorr Comp.any of Seweio "
Plant equipment. Received and filed.
Report for the month of September of Police Chief,
City Judge, Water, Tax and Building Department were read. It
was moved by Bowers, second by'Bowen that reports be received

Motion carried.
Demands numbering 472 to 558 inclusive, amounting to
$27,075.92 as approved by the Finance Committee were presented.

Frank L. Bowman, Attorney, who is handling the clearance
of titles on tax deed city properties was present. It was moved
by Webster, second by Bowen that Mr. Bowman be directed to file new
