Present: Mayor Shufelt Councilmen: Bowen, Lawhead, Leonard,Webster Councilmen: None ~ Absentr. The minutes of regular Meeting of June 16th were read and approved on Mayor's motion. COMMUNICATIONS: Fire Seal Beach Fire Dept. announcing appoint~ent of W. S. Knighton as Chief and C. W. Shepard and E. E. Glenn'as assistants. I Letter of the Lions CluD thanking Council for adjustment .P.<< in lioense~ror operation of fire works stands. Received and Filed. Letter of United Veterans Council thanking Counoil for U. V. installation of iron ohain link fence, enclosing Memorial Placque Council in City Park. Reoeived and Filed. Club Lions Letter of Divisions of Real Estate, asking as to the availability of fire fighting eq~ipment to protect new sub- divisions. Received and Filed. John son for permit and license to operate a child nursery. It was moved Nursery by Bowen, second by Lawhead that application be denied. App~ication of Mrs. Frances M. Johnson, 1214t Seal Way Motion denied. Teget Request of Karl P. Teget sewer plant contractor, that time for completion of plant be extended to October 15th. It was moved by Leonard, second by Bowen that request be granted: Motion carried I Bill of Karl P. Teget in the sum of $395.43, for extra Sewer equipment supplied the sewer plant. It was moved by Bowen, second by Webster that all bills be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasury, excepting No. 8~, payable to Shaw Sales Service in the s~ of $2000.00 for rental of tractor carry-all. It was"moved by Web- ster, second by Lawhead that Resolution No. 762 be adopted. Purchase of Lescher lots in Block 7, Bay City Tract, and acceptance of said grant deed. It was moved by Leonard, second by Bowen that Resolution be adopted. Directing City Attorney to file with State Lands Commission request for title to tidelands lying adjacent to the City. It was moved by Bowen second by Webster that Resolution No. 765 be adopted. Mayor Shufelt informed the Council that our expect- ed financial assistance on beach erosion had been deleted from the Rivers and narbor appropiation bill.
