The City Council of the City of Seal Beach, Calif-
ornia, met in regular session at 8:00 P.M. with Mayor Shufelt
presiding. Meeting was called to order with salute to the Flag.

The minutes of regular meeting of August 18th and
special meetingsof August 26 were read and approved on Mayor's
motion.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Letter of Mrs. Viola A. Mendoza suggesting the install-

ing of plug-in lights on the pier for use of night fishermen.
Held over for oonsideration at time ~~rEdison Co. proposal for
re-wiring.
Letter of Charles C. Stratton making applioation for

ecution of the proposed tidelands oil drilling.
