The City COWloil of the City of Seal Bellch met inl'J'egl.l-
lar session at 7:30 P. M. with Mayor Shufelt pres'iding. Meeting
was called to order with salute to the Flag.

The minutes of regular meeting of January 5th were read
and after addition of the following on Mr. Williams duties as to
Monterey Oil litigation and handling of Hellman sub-division was
added and other special matters, minlltes were approved on Mayor's,
motion.
COMMUNICA TIONS:
Notice of dinner meeting of the Orange County League
of Cities to be held in Santa Ana on January 22. Received and
filed.
Letter of Mrs. Blanche Burkhart thanking Council for
.
adopting Resolution No. 789 in memory of her husband, John F.
Burkhart.
Reoeived and filed.
Letter of Orange County Sooiety for Crippled Children
requesting permission to sell paper Easter Lilies on street,
March 21st. It was moved by Bowen, second by Lawhead that request
be granted.
Motion carried.

Septic
Request of C. M. Streit for permit to install septic
tank tank at Seal Beach Trailer Supply. Referred to Building Dept.
for report on same.
Report for the month of December of City Treasurer and
Clerk was presented. It was moved by Bowen, second by Leonard that
reports be received and filed.

~' Demands numbering lll7 to 1182 inclusive, amounting to
$8,698.42 as approved by the Finance Committee were presented.
It was moved by webster, second by Bowen that bills be allowed
and warrants drawn on the Treasurer for same.

It was moved by Bowen, second be Leonard that City
~ttorney be directed to prepar~ an ordinance fixing place for
holding Co~cil meetings.

Monterey
Motion carried.
It was moved by Leonard, second by Bowen to instruct
the City Attorney to write the Monterey Oil Co., calling their
attention to the court order discontinueing work on their oil
island offshore from Seal Beach, and any work they did was with-
out permission from the City.
Motion oarried.

the Mayor to sign agreement with the Standard Oil Company for

The City Council of the City of Seal Beach met in regu-
lar adjourned session at'7:00 P. M. for the purpose of considering
sealed bids for the pier lighting job.

Due to Irregularities in the advertising for bids on the
above job, it was moved by Leonard, second by Bowen to reject all
bids and return same to prinicipals.

It was moved by Bowen, second by Lawhead that the Clerk
be directed to readvertise for sealed bids to be opened at time
