A RESOLUTION OF THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR 3 -YEAR ANNUAL
CONTRACT FOR SAND BERM CONSTRUCTION AND
REMOVAL
WHEREAS, the City of Seal Beach is proposing the 3 -Year Annual Contract for
Sand Berm Construction and Removal which intends to construct and remove
the annual winter sand berm on the east beach; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends selecting Post Earthworks Constructors, Inc. as
the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE SEAL BEACH CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE:
Section 1. The City Council hereby approves the plans and specifications to
construct and remove the annual winter sand berm on the east beach.
Section 2. The City Council hereby awards a contract for the 3 -Year Annual
Contract for Sand Berm Construction and Removal in the amount of $370,366 to
Post Earthworks Constructors, Inc.
Section 3. The Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
contract.
Section 4. The Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute
additional work requests in connection with construction of this project.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Seal Beach City Council at a
regular meeting held on the 10th day of September , 2012 by the following vote:
